Only a few minutes left before the end of the day and I must hurry to post my Friday photos for Debbie’s challenge. These last days have been very busy at work and I thought I would never be ready!
Last week’s colour was red for my Friday Foto Friends, and today will be blue.

Blue like the colour of irises which have already faded but whose beauty will remain on my photos.

Light blue like the fabric that I found by chance in a shop two weeks ago. I loved it at first sight and imagined it could be used for a sewing box that I really needed, mine being full and over brimming with scissors and reels.

But it was a very small piece of fabric, the only one in the shop, so I had to be careful not to waste it. It was not an easy task to glue it on the plain wood box because the pattern has lines and you immediately see if the fabric is not glued perfectly straight and parallel to the edges of the box.

Besides, the sheets of paper imitating dark wood were not wide enough to cover the whole length of the drawers. So I fancied some labels to cover and hide the joints and glued a few sewing charms.

  2. Beautiful blue Irises, Sandrine. Your garden must be a vision at the moment. Love the fabric for your sewing accoutrements drawers. It teams perfectly with the wood-like paper. The little fabric labels are such a lovely idea, as are the addition of the little sewing charms.
