April is coming to an end and it's time I unveiled this month's Scavenger Photo Hunt!
1 – PAIN / LOAF
This
word immediately made me think of good crusty bread and the ones on the cross
stitch embroidery look so good!
2 – MINE / MINE
I could have posted the blurred picture of a coal tip taken
on trip to the north of France
which is THE mining region of my country. But a mine is also something that
makes holes in the ground, like my Filo whose present game consists in digging
holes in the places of passage where you are most likely to sprain an ankle of
course!
3 – BORD / EDGE
Like the edge of the cliffs in Etretat where I had a walk with my daughters,
that was 13 years ago!
4 – NOIR / BLACK
Like a cat, the Chat Noir in French, a cabaret in the late
19th century’s Montmartre - Paris,
with a sign by Steinlen that has become so emblematic of the artistic life of Paris at that time.
5 – PONT / BRIDGE
soit 1104 pieds ! Très impressionnant quand on
arrive dessus en voiture !
Here the choice was very difficult
because I have photographed many bridges of many different kinds. So I had to
pick out one and it will be the Millau
Bridge, in southern France, by Norman
Foster, the highest in the world with 336.4 metres
(1,104 ft)! Very impressive when you arrive on it with your car!
MON CHOIX / MY OWN CHOICE
My own choice is for this picture
of my garden gnome :
“Hey little dwarf! What are you
doing here, loafing about on the edge of the pond while Snow White is
waiting for you to come back home after your day at the diamond mine?”
“Well, I can’t go any further! There is no bridge to cross the pond!”
“Oh, then try to be as ingenious as the black cat at your feet that found a
good solution to keep dry on water!”

Today is already
Saturday and it’s time to come back to Beverly’s
Pink Saturday. This time I want to show you a pretty little teapot that fits
into the assorted cup and saucer. It stands between two iced cream puffs from
patterns by Veronique Enginger. I wish they could turn into real ones to be
served with tea this afternoon!
insectes butineurs,
Let’s continue with the pink of my japonica the blossoming
of which is spectacular and a real treat for pollen-gathering insects ...
qui
eux-mêmes font le régal des oiseaux,
which in their turn are a real treat for
the birds ...
which in their turn could be a real treat for Filo if he could
fly to catch them…
I will end up with my new project (yes another one, as if I didn’t have
enough in the pipeline!) inspired by Karine after a visit on her blog where she
was referring to Les Petits Carrés by Lin Pulsion. I found this project so
refined that I couldn’t resist starting it last weekend trying to catch up with
the 35 square patterns that have already been posted weekly. I don’t think I
will be ready with number 47 when the following and last one is released, but
it doesn’t matter.
