Before showing you my last work, I notice that my blog has reached its first 10 members today. I am very happy and I want to thank all of you who follow me or have left a nice message since the creation of my blog.

 ***

Hexagon number 23 hosts a little hedgehog surrounded by raspberries to satisfy his growing appetite. My sources of inspiration were diverse : the universe of the forest present in La Trousse à Couture by Léa Stansal, foliage embroidery by Cécile Franconie and a pattern for a hedgehog by Kazuko Aoki published in Broderies Créatives.

The embroidery of this little hedgehog reminded me of happy moments whenever I could see Pointed Nose walk through the garden at the close of the day. Pudding also greatly appreciated those nightly visits, however frustrating they were as she could not play with what looked like a funny ball!

  3. Another beautiful embroidered hexie. Aren't hedgehogs the sweetest animals. Pudding would get a few prickles playing with this sweet fellow. May I say your embroidery brings a smile to my day.

  4. Thank you Kim, I am happy you appreciate. Hedgehogs are so cute and nature does things so well : it has endowed them with a natural protection against a scatty predator Pudding could turn into while playing to distraction and Pudding instinctively feels the danger for her nose, she has always kept a reasonable distance, sometimes barking at the poor little hedgehog but never venturing to touch it. Observing nature also brings a smile to my daily life. Xx!!

  5. What a wonderful hedgehog! Very kind, came to eat a raspberry berry :) Are you planning to do something with these hexes then? I really hope that Pudding did not disappoint the acquaintance with the prickly ball. I embrace. Tatyana

  6. A wonderful hedgehog :)
Dogs like hunting for hedgehogs, they often bring us to the booth and guard all night so they do not run away, we have to go out and "save" the hedgehog :)

    1. Thank you, Irina! Your dogs have more temerity and bravery than my Pudding, and they are also very beautiful! She is easily frightened and totally panicked when she hears a bang. have a nice evening!

  7. Thank you, Tatyana. Don't worry for Pudding, she has got many other balls she can play with, all pierced with her teeth but never mind! Yes, I am planning to assemble the hexagons when I reach 52 (hexagons, not 52 years old :)) even if it may take me a long time to complete the project). Here is the link to the site where I discovered the project and that inspired me : https://gipsyquilt.blogspot.fr/search/label/BeeQuilt
