A reminder of Holland for hexagon number 23 with this lovely couple in traditional dress. This is a pattern by Véronique Enginger and I have adapted it into shades of blue inpired from Delftware.
Sandrine, I like the unusual design, and the colors are chosen perfectly :) Such subjects are in the piggy bank, and, I hope, too, someday their height :)
RépondreSupprimerThan you Irina for your nice comments. I also love the shades of blue in the Dutch style, they are full of light and transparency. Whenever I go to the Netherlands, I can't help buying a small blue souvenir! Have a nice Friday :)
SupprimerFantastic!
RépondreSupprimerThanks a lot, it is very kind of you. Have a nice evening!
RépondreSupprimerIt is wonderful! So cute and dainty!
RépondreSupprimerThank you Maristella. Next time I go to the Netherlands, I think I will try to find a nice cup and saucer in the Delft style, with a little windmill on them. Have a nice Friday! Hugs!
SupprimerWhat a wonderful couple! I also plan to embroider a similar design. And what a beautiful Delft porcelain. These pendants are made like Christmas toys? Good weekend. Tatyana
RépondreSupprimerYes, the pendants can be used on a Christmas tree, they were displayed as such in the shop where I bought them in Amsterdam. The result was amazing! But I must go back several times and bought many more if I want to decorate a whole tree! I stay in the theme of Holland and I am beginning to embroider a hyacinth that I will soon post on the blog. Have a nice weekend! Sandrine
Rectificatif! :))) Bisous
RépondreSupprimerIt is such a delight to visit your love place, Sandrine and gaze upon all the blue and white pretties, not to mention the exquisite cross stitch little couple. Hexagons are my favourite and yours, well they are exquisite. I just adore blue and white together. I think they are a match made in heaven.
RépondreSupprimerThank you Kim. I also find that the blue and white mixed together have something aerial and ethereal, a kind of perfection. I know you are fond of hexagons and I am preparing a post with another one, from a completely different universe. See you very soon.
