I was afraid I would not manage to do it,
but yes the hyacinth has been completed for the 15th of this month.
The colours are a little bit different on
the photo, the flower is slightly more salmon pink than the actual embroidery.
formats standards.
It only remains for me to find a narrow
frame, which is not an easy task as this is not the standard shape.
Here I go again for the 15th challenge with a model
to welcome my visitors.
Very beautiful flower!
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Kira!
SupprimerYour embroideries are always gorgeous, feast for the eyes...Thanks for sharing, dear Sandrine!
RépondreSupprimerYou are too kind, dear Maristella! Have a nice day!
SupprimerWell done! Looks like a great job, but you might have to have a custom frame made for it.
RépondreSupprimerThank you, David. I agree with you and I am considering trying to learn how to make my own frames because finding the right one is a problem I too often have to face.
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Irina! We will see on the 15th of June if my eyes could stand the black canvas!
SupprimerHello dear Sandrine!
RépondreSupprimerYour embroidery is a work of art! So beautiful! Love the pattern with the Hyacinth!
It will look very beautiful with a vintage frame! Wishing you a lovely evening and happy week!
Dimi...
Thank you, Dimi! I agree with you when you say that a vintage frame would match the embroidery and that's why I think I will have it made to measure because it will be almost impossible to find it ready-made in shops. I wish you a nice Wednesday!

Your Hyacinth is exquisite. Hope you find the perfect frame. May I say I love the Welcome sign....did you stitch this gorgeous piece??
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Kim! I will presumably take time to find the perfect frame but I will be patient because I don't want to spoil the whole work with a frame I would always look at askance! The Welcome sign is the next project I am launching in and this is only the picture of what it should look like when finished. I started it yesterday evening, there is a lot of white on the black canvas and I think it may take me a little longer than usual because the little holes in the black Aida are not so well visible. But the result seems too tempting not to make the effort! I wish you a nice Wednesday!
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Irina! This way I can enjoy hyacinths all the year round! Have a nice day!
RépondreSupprimerWhat a beautiful hyacinth blossomed! Sandrine, he's real! Congratulations on completing! And why the problem with the frame? I almost never use ready-made frames, I order in a baguette workshop for the size of the picture. Your hyacinth deserves it!
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Tatyana! It was a long work, but I am happy with the result. I think I will also have the frame made to measure, although the only workshop that can do it in my city is rather expensive, but I must enhance the embroidery with a beautiful finishing. I wish I could find the time and opportunity to learn the techniques of framing, I think it would be very useful with all the embroideries that I make. have a nice evening! Sandrine
SupprimerVery beautiful and elegant work! Congratulations on your completion!

SupprimerHave a nice evening!
Gyönyörű munka!
RépondreSupprimerIgen: a keret. Talán IKEA?
I had not thought about IKEA because we have no IKEA shop near my city, the nearest one is more than 180 km away. But I will try to see if they have such frames on their online shop. Thank you for the idea, Beáta and have a nice evening!
RépondreSupprimerVery beautiful work!
