Today is the first of May and I am offering you a sprig of
lily of the valley for good luck!
hier soir…
It has been freshly picked up this morning
in the woods. A few other sprigs had bloomed on the canvas yesterday evening…
Le délicat parfum du
muguet est consensuel !
The delicate fragrance of lily of the
valley is consensual!
A nice bouquet will fill the house with its
sweet scent for a few days while the hexagon will join the collection.
I love lilies of the valley, very beautiful flower and pleasant aroma. Wonderful bouquet and gentle embroidery.
RépondreSupprimerSandrine, pleasant warm May, bouquets of delicate flowers and good mood :)

RépondreSupprimerThank you, Maristella! The bouquet was still sweet smelling today, I tried to keep it near me to enjoy it as much as possible and keep the memory of its fragrance until next year's May! Have a nice evening!

Sandrine, how beautiful your lilies are! Very tender !
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Tanya! I wish you a nice evening! Sandrine
SupprimerLily of the Valley is a plant much loved by all. It should be up in our garden any day now. I think we have bypassed spring this year and gone directly into summer. Today it is 28.5 degrees.
RépondreSupprimerThe few days preceding May the first were rather cold in France and this year's lily of the valley was not as beautiful as it should have been. A lot of little bells were like rusted, and lilac has met the same fate. The beauties of spring are usually transient anyway and the camera is a good means to keep track of them and enjoy them much longer.I wish you a nice evening. Sandrine
SupprimerAnother beautifully stitched hexagon! Such a sweet posy of Lily of the Valley. The fragrance in your home must be divine, Sandrine.
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Kim! Yes, the scent of this flower is wonderful and I try to appreciate it as much as possible because it is so ephemeral. Xx

Hello dear Sandrine! Such beautiful Spring flowers and lovely pictures!
RépondreSupprimerAnd a gorgeous embroidery with the preety bouquet!
You are so talented!! Wishing you a lovely day and a happy May!
Dimi...
Thank you very much, Dimi! I completed the embroidery just in time for the post because the celebration of this little flower is on the first of May sharp in France. I wish you a happy evening!

Oh, lily of the valley, what a delight! I love them! Both real and embroidered with a cross. A good addition to the collection of hexagons.
RépondreSupprimerCan you collect lilies of the valley in the forest? We can not, because they are on the brink of extinction. Therefore, I grow them in my garden :)) Soon they will blossom. In June :))) And today we have snow again ... How tired he is!
Have a nice day!
Thank you, Tatyana! Yes, we are allowed to pick up the flowers in the forest because lily of the valley is not an endangered species in France. However, we are not supposed to unroot the plants, just take the flowers. Lily of the valley is really the flower we can find at every street corner on that day : people are allowed to sell some small bouquets freely, with no special authorization, it is the only moment of the year we can do this and for this flower only. Otherwise, any time people want to sell something, they must declare it to the authorities (and pay taxes). I wish you a nice evening!

Merci Karine!
SupprimerBisous
Embroidered lilies of the valley succeeded the even better, than living!
RépondreSupprimerThank you, Kseniya! It is very kind of you, but the embroidery has unfortunately no sweet fragrance.
SupprimerHave a nice evening! Sandrine

SupprimerOh, they are so delicate and nice! We have many of them right now, blooming, and I always regret we cannot have lillies of the valley anytime we'd like to have them. Well, now you will: you have your special bunch of these flowers ready to be admired :)

Thank you, Szvetlana! True, I can enjoy the the sight of lily of the valley with the embroidery, but I will unfortunately miss the fragrance! And lily of the valley scent is now rather rare in the perfume industry too, yet I love this fragrance for eau de toilette. Have a nice weekend! Sandrine
Yes, Nadezhda! I remember seeing the lily of the valley quilt on your blog with the tulip and daffodil, it is extremely beautiful! I love this little flower with its white bells.
