For this week’s Friday Foto Friends on Debbie’s kind initiative, I have chosen to unveil my fascination for …cows!

They one of my favourite photographic subjects but also the main decorative theme in my kitchen. Here is one of my embroideries on the topic as well as two cows which patiently posed for my camera last weekend.

My attraction for these animals may date back to the old days, when I was five years old !

And it seems that I am not the only one to be attracted to them like a magnet!

En vous souhaitant un "vachement" bon weekend! 😉

The ones in your photos are lucky, free to roam on lush grass.

    1. Thank you, Sara! The region where I live is renowned for its cows grazing peacefully in the fields. They can be seen everywhere, mostly white ones (Charolaise) like picture 3. Have a nice evening! Sandrine

I love cows but unfortunately we only have sheep in our area!

    1. Thank you, Dimi! The region where I live is renowned for its cows (cattle breeding is the main activity of this rural area). We also have goats that give good milk to make cheese that is savored with Sancerre wine. Simple pleasures!
I wish you a nice evening!

  6. Cows are wonderful creatures, Sandrine. A field of them on a summer’s day seems to be the very essence of bucolic charm.

    1. Thank you, Carol! I think they are funny animals, not always easy to take a photograph of because they are quite easily frightened. Wishing you a nice week!

  10. I too love cows. There is always a roving kaleidoscope of black and white cows around here munching grass in the green, green paddocks. Love the photos, especially the one of your Pudding eyeing off the cows. Sweet cross stitch, too.

    1. Thank you, Kim! I am happy not to be the only one loving cows, most people usually laugh at this. Pudding is just as fearful as the cows and would not come too close to them, the fence on the photo gave her confidence to stop and have a look :) Best wishes! Xoxo

  14. Sandrine, what beautiful cows you have! Our more thin. Not such, of course, as in India, but not so powerful :)) What are you, dear in curls! I was also in childhood, but then passed, sorry. I really love curly hair in people!
Good good embroidery with a cow. And show your kitchen decor! Very interesting!

    1. Thank you, Tatyana! Cows in France are better fed than in India, but the breeds on the photos end up in a plate as steaks!!! Ah yes, this curly hair! I have at last got used to it but I was not so happy with my fate when I was younger and dreamed of straighter hair because curly hair was not so fashionable at the time and I was nicknamed "little sheep"! I hated it! I promise I will show you my kitchen decor as soon as I have reinstalled it in my new house, in July, because a lot of elements are currently already in cardboard boxes.
Wishing you a nice evening! Sandrine

    2. All the girls who have curly hair dream of straight lines, and all those who have straight lines-they are twisted every day :))) For some reason such a law of psychology.
I regret that my curly hair almost straightened. But when it rains, they again become curly. My daughter is exactly the same :)
      I'll wait for July :))

  16. Igen, sokan szeretik a teheneket. A lányom is gyűjt minden ilyet: szappantartó, ceruzatartó, én is hímeztem neki Tralala mintát füzetborítónak. A japánok különösen tisztelik a kézi munkát.

    1. Tralala cows are very cute and funny and your daughter is lucky to have it on a notebook. The Japanese teacher said something very interesting and I wish more people could share his point of view on crafts and manual work. It is too often despised and not taken seriously. Have a nice and creative evening, Beáta! Sandrine
