Friday Foto Friends 2

Today is Friday again and here are some new pictures of nature, the flowers of the moment with lilac, wisteria and cherry blossoms.

A big Burgundy snail to remind us that the rain has not left for good.

My little Diabolo who is no more but who brought us a lot of joy when he was at our home.

  1. Love it (the snail) So cool! But also your rabbit. Two little sisters live in our street. They each have a rabbit and go walking with them. On the sidewalk. It is so endearing to see

    1. Thank you, Aritha! The advantage with the snail is that you have the time to shoot the picture :)) Yes, little rabbits are very cute, my little Diabolo was very soft and loving.

    1. Thank you, Irina! The lilac smells so good, I can't help making a bouquet even if it doesn't stay very long in a vase. I wish you a nice weekend too! Sandrine

  4. Beautiful flowers. My wisteria is just budding now and my apple tree isn't yet blooming either but a few other things are.
Diabolo touched my heart. How tiny and sweet!

    1. Thank you, Annie! Flowers are a little bit early here this year and not as beautiful as they should because of the unsteady weather and temperatures. Diabolo was a very sweet little rabbit we kept in our family for more than 6 years!

    1. Thank you, Maristella! I don't like snails when they are in my flowers either! And the ones we have in Burgundy are particularly big and fond of what grows in the garden (until they end up cooked with garlic and parsley as some people venture to do!):)). I wish you a nice Sunday! Hugs! Sandrine

  13. I am happy to see that spring is well advanced for you and the flowers are beautiful. It seems that this year winter does not wish to relinquish its hold. We get a few warm days and then it goes right back to frigid conditions. Everything is late this year.

    1. Thank you David and welcome on my blog. Spring is indeed a little bit early this year but the beauties of nature are fragile and ephemeral because we also have very unsettled weather with almost 30°C last week dropping to 12°C today and a few thunderbolts were even heard tonight! This all doesn't really look like the usual springs but the flowers seem to confirm that the fine season has started. I wish you a nice weekend. Sandrine

  14. Lovely photos showing that spring is here at last, gorgeous wisteria, mine is rather poor this year and the lilac hasn´t bloomed.

    1. Thank you, Sheryl! The rather warm temperatures we had one week ago(almost 30°c) seem to have quicken the blossoming of lilac in my region. But now it is cold and rainy again, so the beautiful flowers won't last for long, unfortunately!

Bisous mon Elisa

  18. Hello Sandrine, such lovely photos of flowers! I'm looking forward to seeing more of them.
Lilacs, wisterias and cherry trees blooming... it must be wonderful to live there. :) We still have snow and ice and I must travel for many hours to see beautiful flowers. :)

    1. Thank you, Sara! I must admit I feel lucky to have so many flowers around, even if the rain doesn't allow me to fully enjoy them this year. I hope fine days will soon arrive in Finland. Wishing you a nice afternoon, Xx

  19. I have never seen wisteria; it does not grow in us. And I so want to see her! Interestingly, does it smell? Wonderful photos ... It is a pity that there is no rabbit, it is stunning, like a toy!
I returned from the country garden, finally bloomed snowdrops-galanthus! It's such a joy! Earth wakes up!
    Good evening. Tatyana

  20. I am happy you can at last enjoy the spring flowers, Tatyana! Snowdrops are the sign of better days! Wisteria is indeed composed of very sweet-smelling grapes of flowers. They are mostly light purple in colour but there is also white wisteria (I will post a picture of it next Friday). This creeping plant is said to be so strong that it can twist its support if the latter is not resistant enough. I hope Tuesday will be a fine day because we traditionally go in the forest to pick up lily of the valley on May the first! I wish you a happy week!

  23. Good Morning! I am new to your blog...and delighted to see such lovely spring flowers! I love lilacs, but they do not grow where we live (in Florida), and I do miss their beautiful fragrance and flower. We do have wisteria, but not the cherry blossoms. So this was delightful to see. What a sweet little bunny. I am sorry to hear she is no longer with you...she is so sweet. We have wild rabbits here in our yard, but I don't believe I would ever be able to put a leash on one and take it for a walk! They are quite quick to run away when we approach! Have a delightful day!

    1. Hello, Pamela and welcome on my blog! I didn't know that lilac doesn't grow in Florida. It is so sweet smelling! But I guess you have a lot of other very beautiful flowers that we don't even know in France! My little rabbit would have liked to run freely in the garden but she was so small that we would have lost it and she would have run away. You little wild rabbits in the yard must be very funny. I wish you a nice weekend! Sandrine
