After a long break, I want to resume the challenge launched by Ksenia (here) which consists in publishing the progress of one or a couple of chosen projects on the 15th of each month. I have three projects running and I hope this challenge will urge me to finish them instead of leaving them aside in a little basket while starting umpteen other things.

Let’s start with the latest model I had chosen to show on May 2018. It has been completed ever since and is now displayed in my entrance hall.

Next comes Calendar Cats by Margaret Sheryl, I had published the lovely kittens until May 2018 and I now have more than half a year to finish the whole.

By next autumn, I want to progress on this American country style sampler. I would currently rather chose to stitch colourful spring flowers, but this model is complex and long enough, so I’d better get ahead of schedule.

The last project must be ready by Christmas. It was bought two years ago at Les Brodeuses Parisiennes and the size of the edging perfectly matches the length of my fire place. Here is a series of little characters and I still have to repeat the stretch twice.

See you next month to see which of the three projects will show significant progress.

  2. My wife is a quilter and she often has several projects on the go at the same time; somehow they all get finished sooner or later.

    1. That's true, later doesn't mean never and that's the most important. I wish you both a nice week.

  3. Sandrine, good luck! Very nice embroidery, and in order not to get tired of one work, it is possible to embroider another, and at the “end of the path” you will get two or three finished embroideries :)

    1. Thank you, Martina! Yes, the autumn sampler should be very beautiful when finished but it will take some time because there are many colours (more than 35), many half stitches, a lot of outlines and to make things a little more complicated (as if they were not enough!) I have started the project on a very fine canvas. But I will see the end of it, some day! I wish you a nice week. Sandrine
