Yesterday, I discovered a challenge by chance as I was browsing through different blogs.
It was launched by  kjsutcliffe artist(here) and consists in posting a number of pictures following 5 words plus one of your own choice. It is called Scavenger Hunt and I most particularly liked the list of words referring to the 5 senses.
So I searched my photo files and here is what I suggest:

Virtual taste since these mouth-watering cakes will remain embroidered and hung on my kitchen wall and will never go down into any stomach !

A picture of hyacinth fields that I took on a trip to the Netherlands.

The roaring sound of the waves against the break-waters of Saint-Malo.

L’odorat / Smell
The infallible nose of my Brittany spaniel Pudding.

The light touch of a butterfly on my fingers.

Mon choix / My own choice
My garden, a place that awakens all the senses by the taste of its fruit, the scent of its flowers, the sight of its colours, the sound of insects and birds, the touch of plants, earth and the caress of the breeze.

Thank you for your visit and have a nice weekend!

  1. What a wonderful series of images. I especially like the one from St. Malo. Your garden looks like a haven of serenity where you can comtemplate nature, and enjoy it all around you, and recharge your batteries.

    1. Thank you, David. Saint Malo and Brittany are very beautiful places and I am sure you would observe very interesting birds over there. As for my new garden, the former owner had neglected it but it has an interesting potential.

    1. Thank you, Jayne! Don't worry for your French, it is very good. I had unfortunately guessed when I visited your blog that you had lost your poor Daisy very recently. Pudding also departed this world last autumn, followed by Biscotte, her fellow cat, 4 months later, and it hurt terribly. I share your grief and send you all my sympathies, Jayne.

  10. What a beautiful post. All the pictures are amazing. I love that non fattening embroidery, the field of hyacinths and I too thought of using Roxy's or our cat's nose pictures, but my favourite is of the waves crashing at St Malo. It is a powerful photograph showing the crashing waves and sculptural tree trunks.

  11. What a wonderful set of photos, it's hard to pick a favourite as they are all so good :) Your garden looks and sounds to be a lovely peaceful place - I love the butterfly, and the shot of the hyacinth fields would look great as modern art. It reminds me of one of those pictures that were all the rage years ago where if you 'looked through' the picture you could see another image within it. They never worked for me though!
